What Are Wiping Rags?

Wiping rags are cut pieces of cotton fabric used to clean, wipe and absorb oil, grease, solvents, paint and water in workshops, factories and commercial cleaning. They are the low-cost, reusable alternative to paper wipes. Cotton is the preferred material because it absorbs liquids quickly, is strong when wet and does not scratch most surfaces.

Yellow Dusters Wholesale

Unlike our rags, yellow dusters are new cloths made from soft, brushed cotton flannel and finished with overlocked edges, so they do not fray in the wash. The brushed surface picks up and holds dry dust instead of pushing it around, which makes dusters the standard cloth for dusting, polishing and light wiping.

How We Prepare Our Wiping Rags

Sorting: cuttings are sorted by fabric type (knit, sheeting, terry) and by color (white, light, dark).
Cleaning up: hard seams, buttons, zips and labels are removed so rags do not scratch surfaces.
Cutting: rags are cut to a consistent size for easy use and accurate bale weights.
Inspection: each batch is checked for fabric type, color grade and size before packing.
Baling: rags are weighed and pressed into compressed bales, then labeled for export.
