The elastic is what keeps a fitted sheet on the mattress, and it is where cheap sheets fail first.
Our standard sheet has 360° enclosed elastic: high-tension, multi-strand elastic runs around the full edge inside a continuous hem channel, and the corners are double-stitched. We do not use 4-corner elastic as our standard. It is a basic option for light home use and low-budget retail lines.
